Trees - December 4

 I have a thing for trees. They catch my eye and I want to photograph them, sketch them, paint them, and I *need* to make a tree quilt sometime!

 I love the trees with character. The ones with lumps and bumps, those with twisty branches. I am fascinated by roots ...

 Even fallen trees catch my eye - with the bark peeling off and the moss and fungi growing on them ...

 I like to see reflections of trees in water ...

and the pattern of limbs against the sky.

 Trees by walking paths, shading me from the hot sun.

And, I think my very favorite, is the light filtering through the trees dappling all it touches.
