In March I participated in the Block Remix again - and the block chosen was Rocky Road to California ... I played around with ideas in EQ8 and started to see Butterflies
The design wasn't easy to do with the curves shown, so I played a bit more and made Drunkard's Path units instead:
and I ran out of the background fabric I started with, so had to improvise, but am very pleased with my Fluttering to California Block:
I started playing around with settings and thought this traditional setting was nice:
and then had some fun adding in some applique:
And after playing some more, came up with a modern scattered setting:
