Today is the day that I get to host on the blog hop! Thank you to Tricia for giving me the opportunity to share your book!
I Love Precut Quilts! by Tricia Lynn Maloney, published by C&T Publishing.
I have known Tricia for years, we were in the same quilt guild when I lived in PA and she is a great quilter to hang around with (and learn from!). I find her books are just as much fun as she is, giving voice to her style.
I Love Precut Quilts! tackles, well, precuts! I am a sucker for those precuts, and have a few stacks and rolls tucked away in my Sewing Dungeon for just the right inspiration ... look here it is! There are plenty of fun projects in this book to use up (some of) my precut stash :)
I played around with some of my fat quarters and the Cocktail Party table topper pattern. It went together very easily, and I found the directions easy to follow.
I chose a tone on tone for part of the quilt,so I could play with some quilting designs.
Now I am looking forward to fall, so I can use this beauty for decorating!
One of the neat features of this book is Tricia's Crayon Box where other color combinations give quilters more jumping off points for creating these designs in other colorways.
The quilts lean modern in style, but are also appropriate for more traditional fabric options.
Some of the projects are:
City Houses
Big Bow Ties
Paper Lanterns and Serenity Table Set
There are 16 projects in all, from as small as a place mat up to big enough for your bed.
For your chance to win, comment on this blog post sharing your favorite color combination between February 2 and February 4 ... a winner will be drawn on Sunday, February 5 :)
Please make sure to include your email address so that you can be reached if you win!
** Note: international winners will receive an ebook version of Tricia’s book.
